Last minute scramble to secure this spot, when a local "Big Box" store bailed on us at the last minute. We had this as a backup in case, and fortunately in hind site it did work out much better with respect to operations and antenna setups. But as far as public exposure, little to nothing in that respect, though we did have the KTVZ news folks out for a short interview with yours truly, KF7MAX, Links on the home page if you wish to view.

Our modest power, it ran the whole show 24hrs with about 2gals of gas. Three radios, and
a laptop computer, as well as a lamp at night.

Lorens K7CWQ solar panel running his station, I think maybe he needs to re-adjust here, looks
to be pointing in the wrong direction if the shadows are any indication.

John KE7GYB working some DX, and keeping hydrated with my drink of choice. At least the
nonalcoholic variety.

Loren attempting to work some satellite contacts. Got one in the books if I recall.

Loren was getting some strange interference on his satellite contacts, and was able to track
down the location. Seems someone was working their HT while other wise occupied. Attempts to contact
station PORTAPee were unsuccessful. Maybe try long path there Loran.

Our setup, tent had side panels that we could pull up or down as the wind or sun dictated.
KF7MAX's rig on the right, and Lorens on the left. In the picture you can see Tim N1TCB standing, John KE7GYB
far right, Ron KD7EQL right front, and Joe K7SQ. All discussing who gets to run the radio next.

More thoughtful pondering on ham radio in general. Tim is on his cell phone, not mining gold
in case your mind was wondering to the dark side.

John and Ron, working out the details.
Room here for any pics you took on Field Day!
