Manned by Max KF7MAX, I arrived thinking I was going to be working from my mobile unit (car). Not to be The folks needed to have me setup next to them. Which was about 200ft down the trail from where I had my car parked. A good thing I was prepared I had my spare battery with me, and power amp. My little HT was not really making it out of the canyon. If any other folks got pictures of their setup that day, get them over to me, and we will get them posted.

Tumalo Falls at Station 6. Just had to start with that picture. Had time for a short
hike to take this with the phone. In fact if your up hear this is the only place to get cell service.

Looking back to the setup. You can just barely see the bridge. Station 6 is just
about 100ft past the bridge and on the right side of the creek.

My modest setup. MMMMM only thing missing is the chair and table. Next time for sure.
The log with my jacket made for a decent place to sit. Shade was nice, but had to move with the sun.
Notice the Cheetoes for human sustenance and the battery for radio sustenance

My on the fly vertical whip, 5/8ths hanging about 10ft up a tree, feed by my 20amp
power amp running off of a 12volt battery.

Max Working like a dog or is this a dog working like Max. My station partner, never did tell
me his name, would have forgot it anyway. Handled the radio when it was time to find a tree. I think he only
hung around me because I had a cheetoe or two to hand him. I am still trying to figure out how he keys the mike
with out any thumbs.

Mr Dog taking a short break. For a backup partner he did this a lot. Only woke up when
the cheetoes bag would rustle. Did I mention I had jerky as well.

Just a veiw back up the creek towards the falls. If you look close you just might see
the observation deck that I took the second picture above from.

Some normal mountain bike folks taking a break and getting directions. I do not have
many decent pics of the actual event riders, was way to busy cecking them past my location. Next time
I will have Mr. Dog work the camera.

Just a footnote. Notice the lady in crutches in the background. About 10 mins later
I heard her scream, thought for sure she did a header in the creek, which was cold and fast. Ran to the
bank just in time to see her crutch rush past. Nothing I could do. I am sure it is some where out there
so if any of you are fishing the area, and find it, I think she would appriciate getting it back.
Room For you Pic's here, send them to me.
